We chose upholstery foam to be the products base because it is rigid enough to hold its position and is a user-friendly material. I cut it out with a bandsaw up in the SF model shop.
I then sculpted the foam for a resting place for sara’s arm.
Klea made this first soft switch and I made the second one.

========= PART 2 ===========
We made two different soft switches because they will help us determine the exact location or dimensions of which sara can reach comfortably with her fingers.
This prototype has a smaller surface area and only requires a finger glove which acts as a circuit completer.
They all hook up to LED and our sketch worked!
