I made a simple soft switch using the following components:
(The yellow and blue are soft felt, the gray is conductive fabric, and the black is velcro.)
I stitched it all together, fastened it to my hand with the velcro closure, and then attached the two conductive fabric tabs to a multimeter via alligator cables, making a circuit that completed when you activate it with the built-in soft switch.
When the switch is placed on the palm and the user presses down (or makes a high-five) the circuit is completed because the two outer layers of the sandwich connect through the hole in the middle.
