– Initially, I wanted to explore the idea of a moving platform that would aid the movement of sara’s hand left-right, up and down. It would consist of gears and a motor engineered to move slowly in a desired direction. The idea is that, as soon as the motion detector feels a force going in one direction, the motor would crank up and help sara move to that direction.
It would be magnetically connected to the board so that her mom doesn’t have to help her to write or draw every time.
At this stage, my group and I were already discussing about the possibilities of how sara should interact with our wearable.
